I'm wondering if you've heard the Australian act Hilltop Hoods... Their most recent album, 'State of the Art' has the feeling I think you're looking for. It features Pharoahe Monch for some US crossover, and not only is he my favourite emcee, he knows how to provide this 'goose bump music'. It was released on their own label which they just started, Golden Era Records, and their mission statement is to help recapture the feeling of golden age hip hop, whenever you consider that to be.

But I'd seriously recommend you check out the whole album, or their whole catalogue in fact. They're the most successful Australian hip hop act right now and I'm hoping they'll break into the US market.</description>
