In case you missed it, my APB blog-interview, ‘What’s Next For African Development and Investment?’ is stirring interest over my assertion that a State’s business monopoly matters more than aid dependency (sorry Dambisa Moyo) and what I believe to be the ‘economic blindspot’ of the African liberation movement:
I’m receiving powerful emails over it from members of African political parties, journalists, and investors who find it ‘intriguing,’ and ‘striking.’
On a final note – the debate over whether the global economy is in a deflation, ‘disinflation,’ or inflation does have serious ramifications for Africa – a point we intend to address in forthcoming issues. To whet the appetite a bit, consider this article from the always interesting John Tamny of Real Clear Markets (whom I spoke to yesterday) which received a shout out from Rick Santelli yesterday on CNBC
This Summer we’ll break down how this relates to the outcome of at least 4 elections next year on the continent.

P.S. In case you missed it – my AllHipHop.com article, “Africa, The Next Throne of Hip-Hop” is receiving an overwhelmingly positive reaction from artists, entrepreneurs and industry professionals. Next week I intend to go a bit further into how this development will impact the currently U.S.-dominated music industry business model.
